TWO RIVERS INITIATIVES

"More than just a landlord"

Two Rivers Initiatives (TRI) is a not-for-profit subsidiary of Two Rivers Housing. It was created in 2004 and represents the Association's commitment "to be more than just a landlord". It aims to support projects that contribute to the regeneration of neighbourhoods, the strengthening of local economies and empower residents in its areas of operation.

The organisation has a dedicated member of staff who invests considerable time, energy, knowledge and skill advising on and supporting the projects. It is overseen by a Board which comprises members of the main Two Rivers Housing Board, tenants and members of the community.

The work of TRI focuses on four project areas relating to:
• Neighbourhood improvements.
• The well-being of young people.
• The encouragement of social enterprises.
• The enhancement of the environment and the protection of ecological systems.

This model illustrates how Two Rivers Initiatives works within communities.
