Our new person-centred approach to anti-social behaviour (ASB)
As part of our corporate plan ‘Delivering #Twogether 2024-2027’ we committed to making our neighbourhoods places where people love to live.
Improving how we deal with ASB is an important step towards this.
We’ve listened to feedback from our tenants and updated our approach to tackling anti-social behaviour in our neighbourhoods.
Last year we invested in our housing teams and created a new safer neighbourhoods team so there are more people available to support our tenants. Now our new ASB policy, designed with tenants, lays out a more personalised approach to tackling anti-social behaviour.
Here’s how we’ll work together with tenants and partners to tackle ASB in our neighbourhoods:
- When ASB is reported we’ll try to speak to people face to face to understand the issue and any support they need.
- We’ll prioritise cases based on the impact the anti-social behaviour is having.
- We’ll work with people to agree an action plan that works for them. This will include the steps our team will take to tackle the issue as well as how and when they’ll get in contact with updates.
- Straightforward cases will now be dealt with by our Neighbourhood Managers. This will help us deal with simpler issues more quickly.
- More complex cases will be dealt with by our new safer neighbourhoods team who will work with tenants, colleagues and our partners to find a solution.
Feedback from our Tenant Satisfaction Measures and our Tenant’s Voice Group helped us improve our approach to better meets the needs of our tenants.
We also worked with tenants to make sure our new policy can be easily understood by everyone, so our tenants know what they can expect from us when they report anti-social behaviour.
ASB can be reported to us in person at our office, by post, by email or by phone. Find out more here Anti-social behaviour (ASB)
