Two Rivers Housing begins new partnership with Kendrick Homes
We have formed a new relationship with property developer Kendrick Homes to deliver affordable homes in Shurdington.
We have signed a contract to deliver 10 new affordable homes at Coopers Chase on Leckhampton Lane in Shurdington. The site, which is owned by West Midlands-based developer Kendrick Homes, will provide 25 new homes in total.
The homes purchased by Two Rivers Housing will include seven homes for social rent and three for Shared Ownership, a government scheme that allows people to part-rent, part-buy their home and take the first step on the property ladder.
Terri Hibberd, Development Manager at Two Rivers Housing, said: “These 10 new affordable homes will help meet the local housing need and help ensure that more families have access to a warm, safe, affordable home.
“Kendrick Homes are committed to providing quality housing. We are very happy to be working with them at their site in Shurdington and look forward to developing a strong long-term partnership, which will help us to continue to deliver warm, safe, affordable homes for the hundreds of families that need them.”
James Rennison, Managing Director at Kendrick Homes, added: “While this is the first time we have worked with Two Rivers Housing, they have a great reputation for delivering good quality, affordable homes. Like us, they are committed to building strong communities where people can thrive, and we are delighted to have found a project we can deliver together.”
In 2018, Two Rivers Housing pledged to build 1,000 new homes by 2028 and we have so far delivered more than 600 new homes for families in Gloucestershire and the surrounding area.
