Two Rivers Housing gets gold for eighth year running

RoSPA Gold Medal 2021

Two Rivers Housing is celebrating receiving its eighth gold medal from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for demonstrating excellence in health and safety management.

Organisations receiving a RoSPA Award are recognised as being world-leaders in health and safety practice. Every year, nearly 2,000 entrants strive to achieve the highest possible accolade in what is the UK’s longest running health and safety industry awards.

Staff from Two Rivers will be presented with a gold medal during a special virtual ceremony in September.

Commenting on the award, Luke Beard, Assistant Director of Assets, said: “We are delighted to receive the RoSPA Gold Health and Safety Award for the eighth year running.

“The events of the past year have bought many new health and safety challenges to the organisation. We have had to develop new safe systems of work, risk assessments and make changes to how we deliver our services to tenants so that they and our team are kept as safe as possible.

“Winning this award is a credit to the hard work of everyone at Two Rivers Housing. Over the last 12 months, everyone has really pulled together to keep our tenants and each other safe and the Gold Medal from RoSPA is a fantastic way to celebrate this enormous effort.”

Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of qualifications, awards and events, added: “The RoSPA Awards scheme is the longest-running of its kind in the UK, but it receives entries from organisations across the globe, making it one of the most sought-after achievement awards for health and safety worldwide.

“Employees should be able to go to work safe in the knowledge that they will return home unharmed and healthy at the end of every day. Our RoSPA Award winners are central to achieving this goal. By entering they are driving up standards and setting new safety benchmarks for organisations across the world.
