Customer, Colleague and Culture Committee

Our Customer, Colleague and Culture Committee is led by our Executive Director of People and Culture.

It’s chaired by Sharon Wilkins our Board Member Responsible for complaints and includes a member of our Tenants’ Voice Group.

This committee makes sure that the voice of our tenants is heard right across the business and that their thoughts and opinions are reflected in the decisions we make. It also looks at our culture and the experiences of our team to ensure that we continue to create a great place to work where our team can do their best for our tenants.

Non Executive Director - Sharon Wilkins

Sharon Wilkins
Chair

Sharon joined the Group Board as a Non-Executive Director in March 2023 and is the Board Member responsible for over seeing complaints. She was appointed Chair of our Customer, Colleague and Culture Committee in April 2025.

Sharon was previously a Director of Service Integration at Hedyn housing association. Sharon was previously the Director of Homes and Communities at Newport City Homes. In this role she led on the development of NCH’s Customer Voice Strategy, sponsored the development of its digital systems review and is working on a pilot for a new App that will fully integrate multiple digital systems.

Sharon is a strategic housing professional, with more than 14 years’ experience and significant expertise in the development of customer and engagement strategies.

She has lived in the Forest of Dean for more than 20 years.

Kenny Kamal
Independent Committee Member

Kenny is a senior technology and business leader with more than 25 years’ experience working for large technology companies and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to support technology infrastructure and digital transformation.

As Global CIO at Oxfam International, he leads on technology strategy, cyber resilience and shared services across 90 offices worldwide. He also chairs the Technology and Cyber Risk Committee and sits on the Capital Expenditure Review Panel and is a non-executive director at Upshot – a social impact software company that supports more then 1,600 not for profit organisations.

He joined our Customer Colleague and Culture Committee in January 2025.


Teresa

Teresa has been a tenant for 16 years. She is a seamstress and equine specialist by trade and was awarded a bursary from the Prince’s Youth Business Trust in 1987, which she put to good use through studying business studies, structure and accountability at college.

Teresa was the lead fundraiser for Redmarley Playground, helping the team to raise a £70,000 investment. She is keen to use her knowledge of running a business to the Tenants’ Voice Group and help us make improvements to how we do things, while making sure that the thoughts and opinions of tenants are heard at all levels.

Debbie Innes-Turnhill

Debbie Innes-Turnhill

Debbie is a safeguarding expert with a background in education. Over the years, she has worked with schools, colleges, universities, charities, religious and sporting organisations to improve their safeguarding processes and embed best practice.

In 2019, she set up her own safeguarding consultancy, through which she has continued her work delivering expert training, safeguarding support and independent advice to multiple organisations. She joined our Board in April 2025.

Audrey James

Audrey James

Audrey is an Accredited Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and the founder of Restore Counselling & Psychotherapy, a private practice based in Gloucester. She works with a diverse range of clients dealing with issues ranging from depression to trauma. In addition to her private practice, Audrey also works as a psychotherapist with The Bridge Foundation, a Bristol-based charity providing clinical and training services for children, young people, families, and adults. She also works with Gloucestershire Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers (GARAS).

In addition to her clinical work, Audrey has been a Two Rivers Housing tenant for 15 years and has previously worked as a Housing Officer for the Guinness Trust and Raglan Housing Association. Her extensive experience has given her a deep understanding of the challenges within the housing sector and the diverse needs of its tenants. Committed to using her skills and experiences, Audrey ensures that tenants remain at the heart of the organisation.
